About this Event
Have you ever wanted to attend a Live It Learn It field experience? Here's your chance!
We're excited to offer you, your friends, and your family members an exclusive opportunity to be a part of a LILI field experience inspired by our student programming but updated for an adult audience.
- We'll kick things off at 4:30 PM in the Kogod Courtyard of the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) with a LILI pre-lesson that's sure to activate your mind and inspire curiosity. Enter the NPG from either the F or G Street entrances, and walk through to the Kogod Courtyard on the first floor. Look for the LILI team in black t-shirts with our 'reach for the stars' logo.
- Look. Think. Share. Pose. Come alongside our educators as they guide you through an exploration of portraiture and identity the LILI way!
- We'll close our time together at 799 9th St NW, a short walk from the NPG. You can create your own self-portrait while enjoying snacks and beverages. This event will end at approximately 6:30 PM.
- Know before you go: The museum will screen any bags you need to bring in, so allow time for this. There is a coat check available at both entrances, if needed. This experience will involve walking around the museum and a short walk from the museum to our closing destination. Please wear appropriate footwear and outerwear. Please bring your photo ID for entry into 799 9th St NW. Email [email protected] for accessibility needs by October 8.

Please be aware that photographs and videos will be taken during our fundraising event to document the fun and memories, and images or recordings may be used for promotional and informational purposes. By attending the LILI Experience, you consent to be photographed, filmed, videotaped or otherwise recorded by LILI staff. If you have any concerns or wish to opt out, please speak to one of our event organizers. We're excited to share this special glimpse into LILI with you!
