About this Event
This one-act play directed by Kelsey Bennett, starring Chloe Margot as Phina Hell, a young woman struggling to make ends meet as a showgirl and stripper. When offered the notorious role of Holly Golightly in a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" remake. As Phina grapples with fear and doubt, she embarks on an exploration of Holly’s true essence as Truman Capote would have intended — a complex figure who was an orphaned call girl and married to an older man at the age of 14, a portrayal too gritty for the 1960 release of "Breakfast at Tiffany’s." The play explores how women navigate their own sense of power while being sexualized as a commodity, whether on the stage, screen, or in their everyday lives.
