How it started:
When I first moved to New Zealand in December 2022, I stayed in Wellington for almost two years before moving to the beautiful Tasman region just a couple of months ago. 🌴🌴
Living in a more rural area has made things a little bit more challenging socially with less opportunities to meet people going through a similar journey.
After looking at the different events already available on Facebook, I couldn't find what I really needed. So, I thought to myself: Why not create my own events and see what happens? I have met so many friends on the internet. Some I even consider as family.

This group, @Expats in Nelson, is for anyone who identifies as an expat and is looking to meet up with other expats in the Nelson and Tasman area to build new friendships and seek support from the community.
