Do you have an exotic pet that you are no longer able to care for?Don't release it into the wild! Instead, you can surrender it at J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue's Exotic Pet Surrender Event on February 22nd between 12 PM and 3 PM at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center located at 330 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI 53716.

Ensure your pet's safety by bringing them in a secure container.
🚫 What we're not accepting: Domestic pets like dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and chickens. If you have domestic animals, inquire with local shelters or rescues for rehoming options. We also cannot take Wisconsin Native Wildlife that has been taken from the wild. Animals originating from out of state need a CVI.

In some areas, rehoming options for exotic animals are limited, and releasing them is harmful to both the animal and the environment. We're here to provide a compassionate alternative.
After a brief quarantine period, all surrendered animals will be available for adoption. Ensure your pet's safety by bringing them in a secure container.
