Arizona Art Alliance in partnership with Your Art Your Story and Arizona Artists Guild announces the opening of the 5thAnnual Unspoken: Survivors Stories. This exhibition features artwork by visual artists affected by suicide. This annual exhibition gives survivors of suicide loss and suicide attempt a voice to share their story and raise awareness of the impact of suicide. This show includes original two- and three-dimensional works from painting, drawing, photography, digital art, collage, sculpture and group art projects. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness month. If you have been affected by suicide, know that you are not alone. Please join us in raising awareness by attending our exhibition, the closing reception and the workshops. Follow us on social media and share our posts to help raise awareness of this often-stigmatized topic.
Unspoken: Survivors Stories includes artists from throughout the world whose life has been affected by suicide, either by loss or attempt, and people who work or volunteer in the field. Artwork from artists outside of Arizona can be viewed virtually through the online gallery and social media postings.

Art-making connects us with one another, but most importantly to the safe and nurturing space within ourselves where you can embark on a path to self-care, and renewed resilience. These workshops are designed for participants to tap into their own creativity and put mindfulness in action through art. An active-meditation, art is a way to ground oneself in the present moment to reduce stress and anxiety.
Workshop Schedule:
All workshops will be held at the Mood Room, 3121 N 3rd Ave, Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85013
