Exhibition | European Pavilion 2024: Liquid Becomings
After the four voyages on the Danube, Vistula, Rhine, and Tagus, the curators and artists from the crews create a space at Palácio do Marquês de Alegrete to document and reflect on their travel experiences.

Sailing these rivers is a journey through Europe's guts, filled with past and present, ruins and construction, nature and society.

This exhibition presents these crossings through the attentive and sensitive eyes of the crews, their perspectives in dialogue and friction with one another.

Visitas à exposição dos materiais resultantes das viagens, acompanhadas por curadores e artistas que integraram as tripulações.

Após as quatro viagens realizadas pelos rios Danúbio, Vístula, Reno e Tejo, os curadores e artistas que integraram as tripulações criam, no Palácio do Marquês de Alegrete, um espaço de documentação e problematização em torno das suas experiências enquanto viajantes.

Navegar estes rios é atravessar a Europa por dentro, pelas suas vísceras, repletas de passado e presente, ruínas e espaços em construção, cheias de natural e social.

Nesta exposição, podemos ver estas travessias pelos olhares atentos e sensíveis das tripulações. E estes olhares atentos e sensíveis das tripulações em diálogo e fricção entre si.
