Rooted in the Tongan traditions of heliaki (metaphor) and kumi (blackened tapa), Maka’s contemporary and traditional tapa works explore layered meaning, cultural endurance, and the quiet power of abstraction.
This exhibition runs from 18 November 2025 – 8 February 2026.
