Dear Forests…An open postcard exhibition

Artists are well positioned to provoke meaningful dialogue around the threats to forests in a way that can bring people together for further discussion, exploration, and activation.
When we are thinking of forests, we are referring to an area, incorporating all living and non-living elements that are dominated by trees. This includes thinking about the diverse native forests and plantations, regardless of age and encompasses areas of trees that are sometimes described as woodlands.
Artists have been invited from throughout Australia to share in bringing a lens of focus on the world’s forests, the need for their safe keeping and preservation inclusive of the wildlife within. We have called on artists to embrace their imagination to raise awareness, provoke dialogue, political activism, boldness, experimentation, thoughtfulness, playfulness, or deep contemplation.
All works are eligible for consideration of the $500 People’s Choice Award.
