Founded in 1964, the Central Ohio Watercolor Society remains dedicated to its original purpose to promote and preserve the unique character of transparent watercolor for its unparalleled ability to portray light. No opaque paint is used, but rather the white of the paper conveys the lightest areas of the painting. Subject matter includes portraiture, landscapes and florals. Paintings are matted and framed with white mat under plexiglass, lending to cohesive display. Most sized 24" x 30" with 60 pieces from artist members who are juried into the organization.The public is welcomed to an opening reception November 13, 2025 from 6 - 8 p.m. with the exhibition on display through January 8, 2025.
