About this Event
IAHM will open a new exhibition and is thrilled to kick-off it's 2026 Trad / Folk Performance Series concert on January 20, 2026! You, your family and friends are welcome to join us for this festive, Irish evening, featuring the exciting exhibition opening and commemorative concert. You will learn well, and your feet will merrily tap you well through the new year!
IAHM's inaugural 2026 Trad / Folk Performance Series concert is the perfect blending of mastery, culture, heritage and art with box/melodion player Diarmuid Ó Meachair (Cork) and Maryland fiddler, Andrew Caden.
Diarmuid's and Andrew's performance will open the Irish American Heritage Museum’s new exhibition and tribute to the late legend and Albany icon Michael Flanagan and the Flanagan Brothers band, celebrating the global impact of the Flanagan Brothers upon Irish music.
DOORS OPEN AT 5:30 PM, to allow time to take in the exhibition before the 7:00 PM performance. Light refreshments will be served.
IAHM is grateful to sponsors of this event: The Flanagan Family, Metroland Now, Common Roots Brewing Company, ParkAlbany and the Flanagan family.
