About this Event
Encapsulating the NSW Legislative Council's Bicentenary theme of, ‘Reflect, Celebrate, Imagine’, this expansive exhibition charts the institution's evolution over 200 years - from humble origins through to robust democracy.
It spotlights key moments, figures, and untold stories, and the Reconciliation Wall is dedicated to reflecting on the Council's relationship with First Nations peoples. Discover the traditions of the Upper House through historical artefacts and learn about ongoing efforts toward diversity and true representation.
Catering to a range of ages and levels of parliamentary knowledge, the exhibition offers fresh insights into Australia's oldest legislature.
See the free exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays, 9am to 5pm, until January 2025 (excluding public holidays, and Christmas shutdown period of 23 December - 6 January). January end date TBC.
Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse. We recommend allowing around 90 minutes for your visit.
