A Peer to Peer led group where we chat all things 'Homebirth' over a warm drink and a biscuit or two.We are not midwives - but a group of your peers who want to open up a safe space in which to host a support group, we explore the idea of having your baby at home.
Most of us have had, of have planned for, a homebirth. We love to chat over those questions you think are too daft to ask, (they are not - go for it!)
You can reserve a birth pool, birth ball, bag of spare towels or tens machine at this group, we can talk you through all the nuts and bolts of what you need (and the things you don't) to get ready to welcome your new addition into your home. We have a preloved area too full of tap connectors and shower curtains!
Birth partners/supporters are welcome too.
We often talk about breastfeeding and attachment and will happily chat around a variety of related topics to ensure you are well informed and happy as you prepare for your labour.
The group is run by volunteers, we ask for a donation of £3 per person or £5 per couple for refreshments if you are able to contribute.
Looking forward to meeting you
