About this Event

Embodied Knowledges at Work: Exercising Indigenuity
Indigenous Wisdom Essential for Responses to the Climate Crisis

Join the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council for a Kansas City Earth Festival workshop, “Embodied Knowledges at Work: Exercising Indigeneity, Indigenous Wisdom Essential for Responses to the Climate Crisis.”

The workshop will discuss Indigenuity: Indigenous ingenuity and wisdom derived from millennia of careful mindfulness and attentiveness to place, and the recognition that the land, water, air, and all life on Mother Earth are relatives not resources.

The workshop will explore how this indigenous wisdom is essential for resilient responses to the climate crisis. The program will include presentations by Dr. Daniel Wildcat, small group discussions, and reports from small groups. Attendees will be able to visit tables with information about ways to be involved with local environmental and climate organizations before and after the workshop .
