Despite not formally being chronic conditions, menopause and perimenopause can have major impacts on mental and physical health, and change the trajectory of a female's life significantly.
For some, it passes unnoticed but for others, it marks the beginning of severe weight gain, poor mental health, poor cognitive function, joint pain and soft tissue-related chronic injuries.
There is proven help available.
You will gain insight into:
- Why you're feeling sluggish, not sleeping properly, losing muscle tone and gaining weight, despite doing all the "right things".
- Understanding the impact perimenopause & menopause have on the Big 5: heart, bone, muscle, mental and metabolic health.
- The best exercises for maintaining and improving heart, bone, muscle, mental and metabolic health.
- An introduction to the different prescription medications & supplements used to address symptoms, and how to maximise their effectiveness.
*Your contributions to CCA's will help foster health equity and improve the lives of West Australians who are living with complex chronic conditions.
