Did you know that one of the country's oldest and largest museums is right here in New York City? Or that it holds over a million objects ranging from Egyptian antiquities to American art? After the museum's galleries close to the public, get ready to be guided through this revered cultural institution in a way few have experienced before.
Join New York Adventure Club for an exclusive after-hours gallery highlights tour of the Brooklyn Museum, one of NYC's premier art institutions with a collection of nearly 1.5 million works of art hailing from all corners of the world.
Led by a staff member of the Museum, our special experience at the Brooklyn Museum will include:
- An overview of Brooklyn Museum, from its founding in 1823 to current home inside a 560,000-square-foot building with areas designed by the historic firm of McKim, Mead, and White
- A brief walk outside to marvel at the Museum's monumental facade and sculptures
- An introduction to the third floor's Ancient Egyptian Art collections, with a look into the “Mummy Chamber”
- A visit to the fifth floor and its many permanent collections including the Luce Center for American Art Visible Storage (including Tiffany stained glass)
- Special access to the Museum's most historic room — the famed Beaux-Art Court
- A private guided "highlights" tour of many permanent collections, with a focus on the Museum’s history and New York history
