About this Event
This is the fourth art event inviting 2SLGBTQIA+ participants across generations in Montreal/Tiohtià:ke to connect, converse and create.
Through guided self-reflection and sharing by facilitators and teaching artists, participants will explore poetry and printmaking with stamps to create works on the theme: “What does inner peace feel like from my queer perspective?”
Our goal is to strengthen relationships in the English-speaking 2SLGBTQIA+ community through trans-inclusive, celebratory events centred on art-making and storytelling. Through sharing, we continue to honour the stories of young queer folk as well as the older generation who paved the way.

About the exChange project
exChange is an Intergenerational 2SLGBTQIA+ daring dialogue arts project. Our aim is to bridge the gap between 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and the elders who paved the way. This intergenerational exchange through art hopes to create spaces where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth can learn the stories of how their freedoms have come to be, and where older folks from the 2SLGBTQIA+ can learn new terminology and gain a deeper understanding of the current evolution of the community. The goal of this initiative is twofold: to establish intergenerational reciprocal relationships through art making, and to document the storytelling of the English-speaking 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Montreal / Tiohtià:ke, which are often stories unheard.
