For over 50 years, Prudence Crandall Center has been a leader in our state’s efforts to reduce the devastating impact of domestic violence in the lives of victims, their children, and our community. Today PCC is one of only a few programs in the country offering the full spectrum of shelter, housing and support services needed to offer practical, long-term solutions to the challenges faced by victims, helping them heal and move forward to safe, self-sufficient lives, free of violence.
To celebrate Veterans Day, Ellen Zoppo has set up a tour for us of the Military Museum and other exhibits at the Historical Society. The Memorial Military Museum promotes historical knowledge through their collection and raises awareness of Bristol’s military history. The Memorial Military Museum is a place for the community to learn about and remember these important aspects of Bristol’s history. WWII leather flight jackets that belonged to Bristol residents are also on display. The flight jackets belonged to residents Warren Beach and Raymond Rich, and the preservation of these jackets will help to ensure their memory and honor their service for years to come.
