About this Event
Join us for Excellence Without Apology, a powerful community screening and dialogue centered on leadership, courage, and purpose.
This event features the award-winning documentary She Dared to Dream, an intimate and compelling portrait of Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley—the first Black woman elected to represent Massachusetts in Congress. Running just under 30 minutes, the film explores themes of racial justice, gender equity, economic reform, and what it truly means to lead authentically and unapologetically.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abby Ginzberg (Agents of Change, Barbara Lee: Speaking Truth to Power), She Dared to Dream invites viewers to reflect on leadership rooted in integrity, service, and vision—especially within communities of color.
Following the screening, attendees will engage in a facilitated discussion exploring the theme “Excellence Without Apology” and how it applies to students, educators, community leaders, and future change-makers.
