Press Release:
Ewa Bike Expo Aims to Enhance Bicycle Safety for Community
EWA BEACH, HI – September 9, 2025– The inaugural Ewa Bike Expo, an event dedicated to promoting bicycle and pedestrian safety, will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ewa School, located at 91-1280 Renton Road.
Hosted by the Ewa Bird Show team, the expo is designed to educate residents, especially children, on safe practices for commuting on neighborhood streets and sidewalks. The event is a proactive step toward fostering a safer environment for all who share the road.
Hawaii Bicycling League will be on site with an interactive obstacle course to teach participants basic bicycle handling skills. The Honolulu Police Department’s Community Policing unit will share vital information about current laws and regulations concerning bicycling on public roads.
Representatives from the Office of Councilman Augie Tulba and the Office of Representative David Alcos will be in attendance to show their support for this community safety initiative. Additionally, local bike shops have been invited to showcase the latest bicycle models and gear.
The event will also feature local food trucks and vendors offering a variety of food for purchase, as well as local crafters with unique items perfect for holiday shopping.
The Ewa Bird Show team hopes this event will inspire other communities to host similar safety-focused initiatives to help protect children and promote safe habits on the streets.
