Are you new to Manchester? Are you looking to make new friends? Maybe you are new to the UK? Perhaps, English is your second language? This workshop is aimed at women who would like to connect with others who are in a similar situation, for support and friendship. We will do some simple and easy art activities such as drawing (no prior knowledge of art is necessary) to share our thoughts and feelings about what home means to us, the places we enjoy visiting, activities we like to do, foods we enjoy and the things that bring us peace and happiness.
This will be a 1.5 hour event that is interactive and you will have the opportunity to participate in small groups. It will be a relaxed, informal and friendly designed to support conversations and give you the chance to get to know others more.
A minimum of 6 attendees is required and places are limited to 12. This event will help you express your creativity and will be fun so be prepared to have a great time!!!
About Daksha
We are excited that the established artist and experienced art educator Daksha Patel will be running this workshop. Her work includes drawing, printmaking, ceramics, animation and various creative installations. She has won several awards and her work has been exhibited across the UK and in India and Canada.
