Databricks - The Data and AI company
Founded in 2013 by the original creators of Apache Spark, MLFLow and Delta Lake Databricks is a global data, analytics and artificial intelligence company.
The local team will provide an overview of the platform, explain how the concept of Lakehouse has been disrupting the industry since 2020 and share the company's vision of the future. The team will also explain how genAI is used internally at Databricks and share some lessons learned during the training of their LLM DBRX.

- Ilyas Chaoua is Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Vedrai. With a wealth of experience in machine learning and a deep passion for AI, Ilyas is also an MLFlow Ambassador and will guide you through the intricacies of MLOps and LLMOps.
- Gabriele is a Sr. Solution Engineer at Databricks. He supports South European startups and scaleups bringing their data and AI use cases to production. He describes himself as a constant learner, passionate about data analytics, Machine Learning, and data visualization.

Event details
This event is hosted at Vedrai office, Spaces Piazza Vetra 17, Milano (Aula: MR3, piano -1 Building A). The event will be held in English. At the end of the talks will follow a networking aperitif with food and drinks.

There will be 50 seats reserved to the community. If the tickets are sold out you can register on the waitlist, we will apply a first-in first-out policy to assign seats in case of cancellations.
