Join us for "Mythology: Stories, Texts, Deities," where we'll explore how ancient spiritual texts and their vibrant characters deepen our understanding of both our practice and ourselves.
In this class, we'll journey through:
Spiritual Texts & Asana: Discover how foundational texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras offer profound insights that shape our approach to yoga postures and life off the mat.
Deities & Symbolism: Connect with powerful figures and concepts like Om, Hanuman, Kali, Shiva, and Shakti. Learn the stories behind these deities and how their symbolism has inspired some of our favorite Asanas like Splits, Handstands Poses and more.
This class is an invitation to explore the captivating narratives and wisdom that elevate yoga beyond physical exercise, enriching your understanding of its spiritual dimensions.
Each EVOLVE weekend includes a group practice to introduce the theme, guided asana sessions, enriching presentations, and hands-on experiences that help you embody the teachings.
Weekend Schedule:
Friday
6-7pm community asana
7:30-9pm Introduction to Subtle body principles
Saturday
10:30-11:30am community asana
11:30- 2:30pm: presentation and conversation, Pose labs, meditation, & breathwork and more
Sunday
10:30-12pm community practice
12-2:30pm discussion and experiential opportunities
EVOLVE is a five-part series designed for those who want to expand their knowledge without committing to a traditional 200-hour teacher training. Each weekend workshop stands on its own, allowing you to explore at your own pace.
Complete all five workshops and feel called to teach? We’ve got you covered. A special sixth weekend will bridge the full experience into a 200-hour YTT certification.
Already a 200 or 500hr trained teacher? This course can be applied toward Continued Education hours.
