EvoluCulture brings a double dose of celebration Saturday July 13th at Cryout Cave for Evolution Dopen Mic:
Poet DS Will, now residing in North Carolina returns to New Jersey as our feature for the evening. The Verbal Mayhem / Rutgers alum plans to showcase cinematic universes in his language.
Plus, our CEO and Founder (and host of the show), Sean Battle celebrates his 35th birthday month!!!
As always, a 10-slot open mic list is available upon entry to the venue for poets, singers, emcees, dancers, comedians, musicians, storytellers and more to sign up and showcase their artistry.
The event will have sounds by The IZM. and refreshments (some for purchase) by Treasure’s Golden Confections.
Admission is $10 advanced tickets until Friday July 12th or until they sellout. Afterwards, it’s a $20 cover at the door.

�Evolution Dopen Mic is the flagship show of EvoluCulture Ventures, and the 2nd longest running active open mic event in Newark, NJ. It is currently held on the third Saturday of each month at Cryout Cave (601 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Newark, NJ, 07102)

Born and Based in Newark, NJ, EvoluCulture Ventures aims to hold space for artists and art lovers. Programming includes open mics, showcases, workshops, art exhibitions, mental health check-in sessions and more. The name comes in part from a quote by WWE Superstar, Triple H: “In life, you either adapt, or you perish; that is evolution."
