About this Event
WHAT WE WILL COVER
- Learn about materials, steering, transmission and project planning
- Introduction to engineering design. Learn basic CAD design using Fusion 360 and how to export your design for 3D printing
- This session will also help prepare for the 'Make Your Marque CAD competition' where students make a distinctive mascot or emblem for their vehicle that captures the team's theme, vehicle, name or school. A fantastic 3D Printer is up for grabs for the Winning Team!
- Fusion 360 is free to schools so you will be able to use the program in your own time.
BRING ALONG WITH YOU
Your design, prototype or beginning of your actual vehicle.
You will work with engineers from the University of Auckland's Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics team as well as members of the University's Formula SAE Race Team.
Lunch will be provided and please bring a drink bottle.
