This Cookie Decorating Class is a relaxed, social experience designed for those who want to lose themselves in a creative activity while enjoying an amazing playlist and chatting with friends. The session is light on formal lecture and heavy on "studio time," giving you ample space to focus on your art and your company. Each student will be guided on how to transform one giant sugar cookie into a stunning "Evil Eye" masterpiece using an intricate embroidery piping and sprinkle technique.What You Will Learn
- Embroidery Piping: Master the proper way to hold a piping bag to create a textured "embroidery" design that defines the eye.
- Beading & Detail Work: Discover the meditative process of "embroidery beading," using tweezers and a variety of gorgeous sprinkles to fill in your design with precision and flair.
- The Ruffled Border: Finish your creation by piping a delicate ruffled border embellished with even more sprinkles for a professional, high-end look.
Class Schedule
- Introduction (10 mins): A brief welcome, and instructor introduction.
- Base & Sketch (15 mins): Coat your giant cookie in buttercream and map out your eye design.
- Social Decorating Hour (75 mins): After a brief demonstration on proper piping techniques, the bulk of the class is dedicated to hands-on work—this is your time to pipe, bead, and socialize at your own pace while enjoying the music and snacks.
- Final Flourish & Box (15 mins): Add your ruffled border and pack your masterpiece into a window box for safe transport.
Amenities Included
- Refreshments: Access to a snack counter including house-made non-alcoholic drinks, charcuterie and fruit skewers, a dessert, and a Keurig coffee station.
- Tools & Equipment: Class aprons, all necessary baking tools, and 10-inch window boxes for safe transport.
- Professional Ingredients: One giant sugar cookie, fresh buttercream, a curated selection of "beading" sprinkles, and all the icing needed for your design.
Please Note: While there is no age restriction, this class requires patience, a light touch, and a certain level of dexterity to place small sprinkles with tweezers.
Notes:
- Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE! If you are unable to attend the class, you may transfer the ticket to another person. Tickets are not transferable to another class.
- Doors will open 10 minutes before listed class start time. Students wishing to grab seats together are encouraged to arrive when doors open, otherwise we cannot guarantee reserved seating regardless if tickets were purchased together or not.
