About this Event
To celebrate the 12th Plenary Session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES-12) being hosted in our city, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Manchester and the University of Salford are delighted to present a special evening event, with support from Defra, at the People’s History Museum.
This year’s focus – Business and Biodiversity – highlights the crucial role that industry, research and policy must play in safeguarding nature. Only by bringing together these three sectors can real change happen – creating opportunities to mobilise knowledge, accelerate nature recovery, and build more resilient social and economic systems. This event will bring together regional leaders, academics, businesses, community organisations and policymakers to explore how evidence-led collaboration can accelerate action for nature recovery across Greater Manchester.
Join us for an engaging programme featuring a panel Q&A, discussion on regional ambitions for nature, and examples of research and innovation partnerships driving positive change.
