About this Event
This is one of two free, training events which will cover how and why organisations can use video in their communications. We will also look at how you can get funding for your video projects.
The first session will be on Wednesday 21 September, held online via Zoom and in person at Resource For London, for up to 30 attendees, primarily from small charities working in London. However, if you are from a larger charity or not based in London but your work still benefits communities in London, you are still eligible to take part.
These sessions will assist not for profit organisations with campaign strategy. Many charities want to use video content but lack the relevant skills in-house. This is an opportunity to bring a particular problem you are grappling with and we will propose creative processes to build into your communication strategies.
At the beginning of the session, we’ll spend time looking at a range of different formats and campaigns. We'll talk about how to work out the right format for your campaign and how to calculate the budget for different projects. You'll learn how to make sure you are being true to your organisation, creatively. We'll also discuss ways of being creative if you don’t have much (any?) budget, with a range of top tips and warnings!
The session will include:
• Why video is important
• Some examples of different impactful videos
• Different forms - how much they cost and the pros and cons of using them
• We'll talk through different issues around budgets
• How to get your projects funded including sources
• The pros and cons of getting videos made if you have no budget
• Commissioning work from external organisations
EachOther is not just a human rights charity – we’re also a production company who understand exactly the kinds of messaging you need, whether you’re a charity, a non-profit or an educational organisation. We can help you create films to start conversations. Whether you need to create something for a new campaign, enable your audience to access your resources or tell people about your events – nothing gets your message over faster than a video.
