The work of John Dee within his hieroglyphic Monad brought forward the ideas that the Monad is a fusion of opposites (Sun and Moon, spirit and matter); a path to enlightenment through symbolic understanding; and a cosmic key to unlocking the mysteries of nature and the divine.
