An evening of storytelling through spoken word and live music, featuring a diverse group of artists. Funny, serious, moving … and all true.
About this Event

Three Portland-based storytellers will brave the stage to tell stories from their personal lives. Also featuring live original music from two local singer/songwriters, who will be sharing their stories through music.

In the tradition of storytelling as showcased by the growing popularity of The Moth and other platforms (as well as thousands of years of human oral history), their stories are encapsulate the human experience: funny, sad, moving and everything in between. But, most importantly, they are true.

Imagine you’re having drinks with your best friends and conversation turns juicy (or really deep and profound. Or both.) Come and enjoy a night out with these performers as they invite you into an experience of the power of story.

Featuring:
Deidre

Deidre’s love of acting was discovered by an accident when she took an acting class at PCC. After the first class she fell in love with acting. She has a new passion in Storytelling. When not performing or storytelling. She can be found at the gym or advocating for Transgender Rights.

Joe Cullen

Joe is a Portland-raised actor and performer who has been on the stage since he was an infant. He grew up doing musical theater and learning dance of all varieties, and began storytelling in 2019. He's often writing and acting in shorts and comedy sketches for his film collective, Holy Sheet Productions.

Shirley Bardone

Shirley is an actor, writer and musician, who loves to tell stories through a variety of media. Originally a farm girl from South Africa, she is fond of her family, the great outdoors, and most importantly, a good cup of Yorkshire tea. You are most likely to find her with her nose in a book, or traipsing through a forest somewhere.

Everybody has a story. Listening is a gift. Perhaps, if we listen well, we can grow, learn and understand each other better. Just perhaps.
