Join us for a community learning field trip to the Kent County Waste to Energy facility. This visit offers an opportunity to observe and learn about our local waste management system, including how waste is converted to energy, and to reflect on its impact on our community.RSVP here: https://bit.ly/epepwastetoenergy
This tour is designed to inform and spark critical dialogue. We’ll hold space for questions about public health, equity, and sustainability in relation to the waste incineration process.
Attire: Please wear closed-toed shoes. Additionally, required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, helmets, or hearing protection, will be provided onsite at each facility as necessary.
Age Requirement: Attendees must be in 5th grade or older. All youth attendees must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Lunch will be provided at our office before we leave.
