Everyday Nature Photography Workshop and Walk

Join our Everyday Nature Photography Workshop and Walk this Summer!

Spend a couple of enjoyable hours with us learning how to take great photos of landscapes, trees, plants, flowers and wildlife. We welcome Paula Duck from York Photo Walks.

Paula said:

"Our aim is to look at what we can see everyday when we are walking amongst nature. Looking more closely at the natural world can be a very mindful experience, when we take the time to look at our subjects we begin to appreciate the beauty of colour, form and texture. In our walk we understand about our interaction with the subjects we come across on our route. We will have a better understanding of composition and how light effects the subjects we are photographing when we have completed our walk."

We'll meet at Southlands Church on Bishopthorpe Road for an introduction. We'll then take a stroll to look at nature along the riverside, and through the lovely meadows, parks and woods in the Millennium Bridge area. We offer free refreshments and a chance to socialise at the Church afterwards.

You'll improve your photography and camera phone digital skills, get closer to nature, and meet like-minded people.

Practicalities

Meet at 10:00am in Southlands Church. We'll be there from 9.45am. Look for the friendly people in purple York Bike Belles tops!

Please allow 2 hours for the Workshop and Walk. The Walk will take place at a steady pace, with pauses to enjoy the nature around us. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome.

Please check the weather forecast beforehand and wear suitable clothing. Bring any personal Medic*tion. There are toilets at the start point in Southlands Church.
