About this Event
Welcome to LITD CIC's Annual conference 17th of October 2024
"Every child’s voice matters" event!
Join us for an inspiring gathering where we celebrate the uniqueness of every child. At this event, we aim to highlight the importance of listening to **every child's voice** and empowering them to express themselves. It's a great opportunity to learn, share, and connect with like-minded individuals who value the perspectives of young ones.
We are facing challenging times, including the cost-of-living crisis, overstretched public services, the lasting effects of the Pandemic and the unrest following the recent riots. All these factors continue to affect the life opportunities of the children of Manchester and many young people from underserved communities are disproportionately facing the consequences of these challenges, yet their plight is often unheard.
Come along and lets stand united as a community.
Join us for an inspiring gathering where we aim to highlight the importance of listening to every child's voice by empowering them to share their stories and use them to learn and connect with like-minded individuals with a will to collaborate with statutory services to understand the challenges faced by communities across cultural, language and socio-economic barriers.
We want to open a conversation about the possibility of developing innovative, multi-agency solutions that begin to address generational family issues while seeking support, backing and championing of our impactful work to date.
Through interactive sessions and engaging activities, we'll explore ways to amplify children's voices and create a more inclusive environment for them to thrive. Whether you're a parent, educator, or simply passionate about children's rights, this event is for you!
Come and be part of a supportive community that believes in the power of listening to real stories as a catalyst to help create lasting social change. Your presence can make a difference! Don't miss out on this enriching experience where we put children's voices in the spotlight.
We'll have the presence of Andy Burnham the Mayor of Manchester, Cllr Tafhen Sharif Tameside's First Ethnic Minority Mayor 23-24, GMCA, and many professionals. Please, look at our attached brochure which explained who we are, and the role of our panellists.
We will showcase our impactful work and host a fundraising initiative to sustain our proven approach to delivering person centred family support.
This year we will also hold an award and recognition ceremony to honour outstanding contributions to our cause.
Come along and let’s stand united as a community.
