Good Evening Everyone, Eversley Village Hall Transition to CIO Charity.
We are excited to announce an important change regarding Eversley Village Hall. As part of our continuous efforts to enhance our community facilities, we will be transitioning from a Registered Charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO). This change providing numerous benefits to both the hall and our trustees.
Benefits of Transitioning to a CIO:
Increased Community Engagement: This change will enable us to better serve the needs and interests of our community, allowing for more activities, events, and services at Eversley Village Hall. It also enables us to open membership to the community.
Improved Funding Opportunities: Transitioning to a CIO can open doors to additional funding sources, ensuring the hall can sustain and improve its offerings.
Limited Liability: Trustees (who are all volunteers) will have limited liability, protecting personal assets while serving the charity.
Streamlined Governance: The CIO structure allows for simpler governance and management, making it easier to operate and provide services to our community. It provides protection regarding management of the Hall into the future.
To formalize this transition, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held to close the current charity and open the new CIO charity. We invite all residents to attend this important meeting at EVH. Your support and engagement are crucial during this transition, and we look forward to discussing the future of
