EVERGLADES TREE ISLAND FOREST BATH: A Journey Between Land and Water

Vanessa Yvette, founder of FOREST BATH MIAMI, says, “This offering is important to bridge cultural and scientific perspectives with nature's medicine, highlighting how interconnectedness can also bridge the deep connection between human nature and mother nature.”

ITINERARY

9AM

You are encouraged to attend the Opening Plenary of the Main Event to hear from Indigenous Voices.

10AM

From there, you will take a private shuttle to the heart of the River of Grass, where you will in-joy an airboat ride with Tigertail Airboat Tours, as you embark into the heart of the Miccosukee Water Conservation Area.

1PM

You will return to the Main Event, where you will have time to in-joy the rest of the day’s activities.

There will be Science or Arts and Community workshops that you can choose to attend, and the event will continue on into the early evening with a Film Festival, and a late night Dance Party.

Forest bathing is a form of eco therapy that helps folks reconnect with the natural world, and this unique experience will be made possible with an airboat ride to a sacred Tree Island in the Central Everglades. Immerse yourself in the balance between water and land as we explore the healing energies of both ecosystems, surrounded by the rich biodiversity of the Everglades. This healing adventure invites participants to embrace the serenity of the Everglades while awakening a profound sense of interconnectedness with the Mother Earth.
