Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Stargate Studios, Naxxar
This session expands the discussion beyond nightlife to consider how festivals and large-scale events shape public culture, from music and performance to civic rituals and grassroots gatherings. It will address pressing questions around safety, accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability, while asking how festivals can act as laboratories of innovation and engines of cultural diplomacy. By drawing on international models alongside local realities, the session opens a conversation about how Malta and other countries can reimagine events and festivals as spaces that go beyond entertainment to become drivers of cultural, social, and economic transformation.
