Hike For A Cure is a series of hikes set in some of the most beautiful locations in the UK. At this event walkers will tackle a 8 13 or 26 mile hike in the Peak District.
Alzheimer’s Research UK are looking for volunteers to help facilitate this fantastic occasion at the start/finish line as marshals and other supporting roles along the route to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
- What you will be doing: Marshalling Start/Finish point support Sweep marshalling Refreshments or Photography.
- Where: The event will be based from Carsington Water Visitors Centre Peak District DE6 1ST. Parking is available for volunteers.
- When: Saturday 14th September. Volunteer shifts are broadly ‘AM’ (6am-2pm) ‘PM’ (1-7pm) or ‘All Day’ (6am-7pm) however there is some variation dependent on roles – some shifts may start later or finish earlier/later.
As part of this great experience we’ll provide you with lunch and a hot meal at the finish. We also plan to have an Hike For A Cure t-shirt for you so you’ll really look the part!
Alzheimer's Research UK will reimburse reasonable out of pocket expenses such as travel within agreed guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE: The location of this event is not accessible via public transport therefore please only register to volunteer if you are able to drive to Carsington Water.
