Evening Talk: Accelerate Action, Inspiring Careers in Marine Science

On Tuesday 11th of February, it will be the Internation Day of Women and Girls in Science, and we are celebrating women’s contributions in marine science through a collaborative event hosted by The Wild Oysters Conwy Bay Project and Bangor University Endeavour Society.

The event aims to inspire and empower young people, students, early career researchers, and professionals by showcasing diverse career paths across various sectors and stages in marine science. Building on the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, "Accelerate Action," speakers will share how they are driving progress and making an impact in their fields.

Attendees will gain inspiration and practical insights from a range of disciplines and career stages. The evening will also feature discussions about career journeys undertaken by women in the industry and offer a networking session to connect with speakers and peers, share ideas, and explore opportunities in marine science.
