JOIN US FOR A FASCINATING EVENING SWIFT WALK AROUND THE SCENIC VILLAGE OF BRAUNTON TO SPOT SOME SOARING SWIFTS!This gentle evening walk, guided by the knowledgeable Chulmleigh Swift Group, will take you through picturesque lanes, serene countryside, and along the tranquil River Caen.
Following on from our Swift Nest Box Making workshop earlier in the evening, this walk will give you a chance to come and learn how to spot and listen out for the swifts soaring the in the air, what a screaming party is, and some of the common behaviours of these migrating swifts.
Swifts are endangered birds and we want to do our best to help them in the area of Braunton, so come and long and learn how we can help support them.
Don’t forget to bring your walking shoes, a water bottle, and a light jacket. The walk will be on tarmac and some uneven terrain around the village of Braunton so suitable for able-bodied individuals. Families and children welcome. Dogs not welcome.
