Event is at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 1080 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14209Voices, Rochester’s professional chamber chorus, will present “Evening Serenade” on Friday evening, October 4th at 7:30pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1080 Main Street in Buffalo. The program celebrates love and nature with music from the past seven centuries, featuring works by Dunstaple, Brahms, Schumann, Hensel, Elgar, Saint Saëns and Vivanco.
The concert is sponsored by Black Rock Controls. Admission is free, and any contributions will benefit St. Luke's Mission of Mercy.
Voices, now in its eighteenth season, is an ensemble of some of Western New York’s finest ensemble singers. Their performances have featured the Bach Mass in B-minor, as well as both Bach passions and three cycles of the complete Bach motets. Their repertoire has ranged from music of the twelfth-century Saint Hildegard of Bingen to numerous premiers of twenty-first century works. Music Director William Weinert is Director of Choral Activities at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester.
