This guided hike covers about one mile of wooded and farm trails shared between neighboring historic Fuquay-Varina farms. The 45-minute walk is led at a gentle pace, but please note the trails are a bit rugged in some spots — sturdy hiking shoes and long pants are strongly recommended for comfort and safety. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the playful company of our goats as they trot beside you, nibble on leaves, and explore the paths with you.
After the hike, you’ll have 30 minutes to relax at the sanctuary: meet the rest of our herd up close, snap photos, and browse the Wild Goat Trading Post, featuring handmade goods and goat-inspired gifts.
This event offers a memorable mix of nature, history, and animal connection, all while supporting the care of our rescue goats and the preservation of local farm heritage.
