Evening Group Ride along the Canal & River Paths for Travel Well

Join us for a leisurely short women's bike ride looping from Nottingham Train station, along canal paths, the river lean and back along the River Trent.

The route is entirely on cycle paths with no roads and it is totally flat so perfect for riders looking to build confidence on the bike.

We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back! One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group.

You'll be in safe hands. We are qualified ride leaders and mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

This session is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. It is part of our Travel Well project in partnership with Nottingham City Council and funded by Active Travel England. All attendees will need to complete a registration survey for our funders. You can save time completing it before the ride (click here) or you can complete it on one of our devices after the ride.

You won't need anything fancy; just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling!

I f you would like to borrow a bike or any cycling equipment for the ride, get in touch to reserve one BEFORE THE RIDE - we've even got e-bikes! Note that you will need to ride it to and from the workshop with us so please allow extra time.
