About this Event
Join MTRP birders Millie Basden and Cindy Cornelius for a guided bird walk along Father Junipero Serra Trail and the Grasslands area of the park. We avoid the summer heat on this evening bird walk. We’ll look and listen for owls, nighthawks, poorwills, bats, deer, and other creatures of the night.
Meet in the dirt parking lot at the corner of Bushy Hill Dr. and Father Junípero Serra Trail, across from Kumeyaay Lake Campground.
Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring along water. Don't forget to bring along a flashlight and an extra layer of clothing -- it often cools down after the sun sets. Walks are canceled if raining.
