Do you want to make a positive difference to your health and lifestyle?Our local supportive courses are coached by local Run Leaders, many of whom started off like you and have grown to love the benefits of running.
Based on the NHS plan, we’ll take you from running for just 1 minute with a 90 second walk recovery, which is repeated 8 times on week 1, to running continuously for 30 minutes by the end of the 9-week course. To celebrate this, we go to a free ‘parkrun’ event, where you complete your journey by running 5km.
The FREE course consists of 9 coached sessions, with a further 2 sessions a week (on your own or with a new buddy from the course) away from the group. Upon completion you’ll have the pride of achieving your goal and being able to call yourself a runner.
For the novice runner the course isn’t easy, nothing worthwhile in life is! But, providing you can walk for 20 minutes and make sure you do the 2 sessions in addition to the weekly coached session, it is achievable for most people.
