Our June Monthly Meeting will feature Evan Smedley! Evan and Scott Letcher run Ouachita Fly Anglers! If you haven’t chased smallmouth bass on the fly in the Ouachitas…you are missing out! Arkansas smallmouth waters are beautiful and these fish are FUN! When fly fishers think about Arkansas smallies, too often we think of some of the great rivers on the Ozarks–and overlook opportunities on gorgeous rivers including the Caddo, Ouachita, Saline and more around Hot Springs, Mount Ida, and Glenwood! These rivers not only have a lot of solitude but also give up some bruisers!
Evan and Scott have mastered these waters and understand smallmouth bass habitat and behavior on these waters, seasonal patterns and best times to target smallies on the fly, the essential patterns and gear, and the unique techniques and strategies for effectively fishing these rivers. They are a wealth of knowledge!
