Evan Horne (a.k.a. Tenzin Chopak) returns to Atomic Tom's with his full band featuring Emmett Scott on keys and harmony vocals, Michael Schuler on bass, and Aaron Walters on drums/percussion and harmony vocals. 7 pm $10Evan Horne is a cinematic-folk singer songwriter, composer, and visual artist from Oak Ridge, TN, now based out of Ithaca, NY. His music and live performance are known for their immersive, mesmerizing, and incandescent power that defy genre. Raised in East TN with a singing minister father and artist mother, Evan was surrounded and suffused by art and music throughout his upbringing. The roots of music from his upbringing in Tennessee resonate deeply through his own unique voice, emerging as both hauntingly timeless and fully his own.
Evan Horne tours solo as well as with his ensemble Emmett Scott on piano/keys and backing vocals, Michael Schuler on bass, and Aaron Walters on drums and backing vocals. Over the years he has recorded and collaborated with many of the most treasured musicians to grace the Finger Lakes such as Angelo Paradiso, Chris English, Bess Greenberg, the legendary clawhammer banjo master Richie Stearns, upright bassist Ethan Jodziewicz, powerhouse fiddle player Rosie Newton, and has opened for such artists as Ryan Montbleau, Donna the Buffalo, Driftwood, Shawn Colvin, Tim Reynolds, and Todd Rundgren.
Evan Horne's studio LP "WITNESS" was released in October of 2025.
His debut album under the name Evan Horne “WITNESS” was recorded in Nashville, TN at Parlor Productions featuring Ethan Jodziewicz on bass, Mark Raudabaugh (Sierra Hull) on drums, Emmett Scott on grand piano and keys, with Brittany Haas (Crooked Still, Dave Rawlings, Punch Brothers) on violin, Ruth Moody (Wailin' Jennys) on vocals, Maya DeVitry on vocals, and Courtney Hartman on vocals and guitar.
