Speaker's bio: Daniel Cortez is the Principal and General Manager at Hawaii Lighting Associates. With over 30 years of experience in lighting and lighting controls, Danny has developed a strong expertise in lighting technology, control systems, networking and protocols, lighting design principles and building codes (T24/IECC) and standards.

Daniel has gained extensive experience in the lighting and lighting controls industry by working for key companies including but not limited to Graybar (7.5 yrs), LC&D (7 years), Acuity Brands (5.5 years). He is passionate about Lighting Controls, is CALCTP-AT Certified and is dedicated to continuous improvement.

Daniel is also responsible for driving sales, managing client and manufacturer relationships, leading a team of over 60 employees, while ensuring the overall success and profitability of the business.
