Be ready when the alert to evacuate or shelter in place goes out!
At this free talk, you will learn ways to make your Go Bags and Shelter in Place kits work for you when you need them. We will also cover what to do when you receive an evacuation order or warning, and possible evacuation routes. Everyone will go home knowing their evacuation zone and other important zones, like your work place and family members'. Attendees will receive a free tote bag (bag only) with a list of suggested supplies on the outside to help you create your own Go Bag. Speakers will be Nancy Brown with Sonoma County Dept of Emergency Management and Officer Charity Koch with Town of Windsor Police Dept.
This talk is free for all Sonoma County residents to attend. The talk will be recorded and made available on the Windsor COPE Facebook page and YouTube channel. You can register in advance for in-person at https://bit.ly/readywindsor2. For those who are not a Windsor Senior Recreation Center member, call the senior center at 707-838-1250 to sign up. Pre-registration is not required. Please share this invite with your friends and family.
The Windsor Ready! Talk Series are free, interactive monthly talks to help our community be ready for life and emergencies. Speakers will cover a different topic every month. The talks are facilitated by Windsor COPE (Communities Organized to Prepare for Emergencies), in partnership with the Town of Windsor. Please email [email protected] with questions.
