About this Event
Join the Embassy of Sweden in Vienna in the celebration of music, unity, and cultural diversity as we gather to honour the timeless spirit of ABBA and the Eurovision Song Contest, an event where melodies transcend borders and unite people from every corner of Europe and beyond.
Sweden made its Eurovision Song Contest debut in 1958 and is widely regarded to have produced one of the most successful winners of all time: ABBA with their entry Waterloo in 1974. In commemoration of this significant milestone, we mark 50 years since ABBA's historic victory, a triumph that continues to resonate with music lovers worldwide. The most recent Swedish success was in Liverpool 2023, when Loreen took the trophy. She became the first woman to win the competition twice, having previously won in Baku 2012 with the song Euphoria.
Prepare to be swept away by an enchanting evening brimming with captivating performances by artists from Queens Brunch and enjoy Swedish delicacies, and delightful surprises that embody the essence of Eurovision. The event will be held in English. Dress code: Disco-casual.
