About the Talk:

Antisemitism has skyrocketed across Europe since Oct 7th, and many Jews have considered and already made Aliyah. Is there a future for the Jews in Europe? Juan Caldes speaks about the future of Jews in Europe as it goes through a turbulent election season. Caldes will speak from his perspective with the European Jewish Association where he is the ‘Head of Spain Relations’ and the EU Affairs Officer.

About The Speaker:

Juan Caldés was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Born and raised Catholic, he discovered his Jewish roots at age 18 and made a return to Judaism. He has lived in Spain, the US, UK, Israel, and currently lives in Belgium where he works at the European Jewish Association as Head of Spain Relations and EU Affairs Officer. Caldes represents hundreds of Jewish communities all across Europe with a large base between Portugal and Moldova. His main goal is to defend Israel and foster Jewish life in Europe when meeting with elected officials at the national and the European level in Brussels. Caldes is a brave TV commentator and speaker, working from often unfriendly environments.
