THIS WEEKEND, Saturday May 18, through Sunday, May 19, we will be honored to host Blessed Carlo Acutis’ International Exhibition of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World. The presentation, created by Blessed Carlo, will be displayed in our Holy Cross Gymnasium and Library.The schedule is as follows:
Saturday May 18: 9:00am - 1:00 pm and 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Sunday May 19: 8:00am - 2:00pm
Blessed Carlo Acutis was a remarkable young man. At a very early age he developed a great love for our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. As he grew to adolescence, he was very much fascinated by computer technology and developed a remarkable proficiency in that field, well beyond his age. Merging his love for the Blessed Sacrament and his technological abilities, he created a website cataloging all the Extraordinary Eucharistic Miracles that have occurred throughout the world. (Blessed Carlo’s ‘catalog’ will be presented in physical form as an exhibit in our Holy Cross Gymnasium and Library all weekend long.
Sadly, in October of 2006, young Carlo was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia, and died only eleven days later. Soon after his passing, recognizing his unique life of holiness, people began seeking his intercession in prayer, with great hope that he will be declared a Saint. Pope Francis has encouraged his cause for canonization and declared him ‘Blessed’ in 2020. For more information about Blessed Carlo and his cause for canonization, visit carloacutis-en.org
*Throughout the exhibition, we will also have the opportunity to venerate a first-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis.
